However, die casting molds are expensive, especially considering the customer’s small order quantity. Therefore, we recommend

CNC machining instead. The customer will apply the Alodine coating themselves, and we will only need to provide the machined aluminum box.

The edges of the parts were slightly smaller than indicated in the drawings. This is likely due to an error in the worker’s operation.

In addition to this problem, the customer sent more photos, there are some blemishes and knife marks on the aluminum CNC milling parts surface.

To address these issues, we arranged a video conference with the customer to discuss possible solutions. Here is a summary of the discussion:

• The main issue is the presence of visible tool marks on the surface, not only on the sides but also on the front and corners. These tool marks cannot be effectively covered up after coating.
• We need to explore whether it is possible to repair the parts without affecting the installation holes and channels for the sealing layer. Additionally, it is crucial to ensure consistent dimensions on both sides for symmetry.

During the video conference, we will further discuss these concerns and work towards finding a satisfactory resolution.

The customer has returned the CNC Machined Aluminum Parts to us for repair. However, the repair results were not satisfactory as the customer noticed visible screw holes from the outside, making it unsuitable for delivery to their end customers.

After discussions within our management team, we have decided to reproduce CNC machined aluminum parts for the customer.

Although this decision will incur a financial loss for our company, we value our 3 yeas long partnership with this customer. They have consistently trusted us, and we want to maintaining a long-term collaboration with them.
