Wellste finally sorted out the information before sending the quotation, found that the customer was an aerospace manufacturing company, with years of experience in the industry, the customer needed was most likely 7075 aircraft aluminum extrusion.

So we had a phone conversation with the customer, the following conversation occurred:

Jules: Hi David, we found out that you work in the field of aerospace manufacturing, do you need 7075 aluminum material specifically for aerospace grades?

David: Yes, we need the 7075 material and it has the properties that we need. Thank you for calling to confirm.

Jules: You’re welcome, but 7075 is a special material on the market with a very high MOQ, can you increase your quantities?

David:  Oh no, 2tons is more than enough for us, we can’t purchase a large amount of product at once, it would put pressure on our inventory.

Jules:  I understand, next I will negotiate with the company internally so that the price will be adjusted and I will need two more days.

David:  No problem, thank you very much for your help.

After hanging up the phone, Jules negotiated directly with the company, because the MOQ of 7075 aircraft aluminum extrusion is 5tons, and the customer only needs 2tons, 2tons is a difficult quantity to purchase raw material in the whole Chinese market, but WELLSTE wants to help this customer through its own resources and power.

After communicating with the production and purchasing departments, the purchasing department went to negotiate with our first-tier supplier.

Due to years of cooperation, the supplier informed us that they also had other 7075  aerospace aluminum extrusion projects underway and could supply us with an extra 2tons while they were underway. We were very happy and sent our price to the customer with a price adjustment.

To reassure the customer, we also requested a sample from the material supplier for composition testing and sent it to the customer.

After the customer received the material testing, he was satisfied with the price and MOQ, and then we continued to modify the details and quote again.
